How to: Dial phone calls from the computer.
Solution:
Select 'Programs', select 'Accessories', and select 'Phone Dialer'.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Programs'.
3) Select 'Accessories' and select 'Phone Dialer'. (The 'Phone Dialer' dialog box appears.)
4) Do one of the following:
a) Type the number in the 'Number to Dial' drop-down list box.
NOTE: If the number is an international number, it must be typed in international format. An internal or local number can be dialed exactly as it appears.
b) Select an existing number from the 'Number to Dial' drop-down list box.
5) (Optional) Add a number as a speed dial number:
a) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Speed Dial...'. (The 'Edit Speed Dial' dialog box appears.)
b) Select a button from the 'Speed Dial' dialog box.
c) Type a name for the connection in the 'Name' box.
d) Type a phone number in the 'Number to Dial' box.

e) Click 'Save'. (The name appears in the 'Phone Dialer' speed dial button.)
f) Click the appropriate speed dial button to dial the call.
6) Click 'Dial'. (The 'Call Status' dialog box appears.)
7) Wait for the computer to dial. (Dialing is completed and the phone begins to ring.)
8) Pick up the phone receiver.
9) Click 'Talk'. (The 'Active Call' dialog box appears.)
10) When finished with the call, hang up the receiver and click 'Hang Up'.
11) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Exit' to close the 'Phone Dialer' dialog box.
